the project it inspired:Â Â This beachy card was designed using the Sea Turtle Photopolymer Stamp Set. This set is one of our Reversiblesâ„¢ sets, which means the reverse sides of the stamps are designed to be used to
add solid colour in similar shapes to the stamp set's main images.
The smaller turtle detailed images were stamped with Lost Lagoon Classic Ink on Basic White Cardstock. The reverse side of the same stamp was used to add Pool Party Classic Ink as a background for the stamped image. These were then carefully cut out using Paper Snips. The sand dollar image from the same stamp set was stamped in Crumb Cake on Basic White Cardstock and also cut out
carefully by hand.
The bubbles image from the Sea Turtle set was stamped multiple times across the centre of a Basic White Cardstock panel using Pool Party Ink, both using the full strength ink colour and after being "stamped off" on scrap paper first. The reverse side of the same stamp was also used with Pool Party Classic Ink stamped off to add additional colour to the background. The smaller starfish outline image was stamped using Crumb Cake, and
the reverse side used in the same colour stamped off to add extra elements to the background. The splatter stamp from the Hello Kiwi Photopolymer Stamp Set was used to add the last decoration to the background, again using Crumb Cake Classic Ink.Â
Linen Thread was wrapped around the stamped panel, and that panel layered onto a narrow Basic White Cardstock mat before being added to a Pool Party folded card base with a Crumb Cake layer in between.
The "Happy Birthday" sentiment from the Hello Kiwi set was stamped using VersaMark Ink on a Basic Black Cardstock strip and embossed using the white embossing powder from the Basics Embossing Powders. One side of the strip was cut at an angle and the other end curled up, using the stylus end of the Take Your Pick Tool to help. The cut-out sand dollar image was adhered flat on to the stamped panel, and the sea turtles and sentiment strip added using Stampin' Dimensionals. Gems in Lost Lagoon from
the Tinsel Gems Three-Pack were added, and Wink of Stellaâ„¢ flicked over the whole card as a finishing touch.
